2B Great Company Limited

2B Great Company Limited started its operations in Myawaddy Province, Karen State, Myanmar, opposite to Mae Sot District, Tak Province, Thailand. Initially, we were just a coordinator for acquaintances and friends who shipped goods from Thailand to Myanmar. Then, these acquaintances and friends introduced us to others so that it brought about transportation service. We have started to study forms of transportation in 2010 has been tried out continuously until we had a certain number of customers from word-of-mouth. And the customer recommended us to register a company in Thailand for the reason that the customers needed reassurance on product warranty and clear existence. As a result, we entered the company registration in 2012 under the name of 2B Great Limited Partnership and changed to 2B Great Company Limited in 2016.

Our Management

Originally, the Company had 4 directors, but now there are 3 directors left after changing to 2B Great Company Limited and 5 members of working group. Why does our company have few members of working group? Because our management style focuses on building subsidiaries to distribute works, which are easy to audit and with simple structure. It is the creation of suppliers to support the works and meet the regulations and forms required by our customers and us instead of using a third party company that we cannot control all the time.

At present, 2B Great Company Limited has its head office located at 91/219, Village No. 4, Tha Sala Sub-district, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai. We have been asked by others why in Chiang Mai, not in Bangkok or Mae Sot District. Because the work we do must be in these cities. For this office, we mainly use to coordinate with others, direct and collect document information. As for customer service and operation tasks, we have distributed them to the network companies established to take care of the works clearly.

Our affiliated companies are established to support logistics work and provide comprehensive service as one-stop service able to control time, demand, price and more as required by the customers, including:

Currently, the company provides services of transportation, customs clearance and service as an agent mentioned above to domestic and international customers.

Most of our customers, at 70%, are from Thailand and overseas and 30% of our customers are in Myanmar, either direct customers referring to owners of goods or their subcontractors.

Currently, we transport goods by approximately 250-350 vehicles per month. The goods we transport include consumer products such as beverages, canned coffee, boxed milk, raw materials in production, construction equipment, agricultural materials, gas for carbonated drinks, IT devices, etc.

2B Great Company Limited has a fleet of trucks subordinate or affiliated to it in Thailand and Myanmar:

  • In thailand, we have 32 tractors, 11 10-wheel trucks and 17 6-wheel vehicles, a total of 60 vehicles affiliated.
  • In Myanmar, we have 27 tractors as subordinate vehicles and 32 affiated vehicles.

2B Great Company Limited has its own place to store products and yard for cargo handling for container at Myawaddy Province, Myanmar.

We have a goal to continue development and building in Yangon and Mandalay to connect transportation routes in Myanmar. The route to the warehouse, cargo yard and discharge check points from Myawaddy check point.

It is the only bridge in the route from Myawaddy to Yangon, which is able to support loads up to 100 tons and safe. As for the rainy season, if there is heavy rain or flood, the bridge will be closed-open with fixed hours. If the flood level is high, usually it takes about 3 hours for discharge. In Myanmar, a cycle of big flood to happen is around 7-10 years.

When it comes to strengths of 2B Great Company Limited, our local people, language and culture shall be mentioned as the first ones. We have a connection in every way and in every agency and organization.

  • Of course, language, we can communicate in all local languages, and also Thai and English.
  • Management applied to our local people. As we saw weaknesses in transportation services in Myanmar that lack a systematic management and cargo status notification, now we’ve become one of top five border transportation providers because we can do it here well. We get good feedback from both Thai and international customers.

Application for a license (if the customer uses our service) is divided into 4 types.

  1. For the product not requiring an import license, it is referred to as a non-license product by Myanmar government, which you can bring an invoice and packing list to declare at that checkpoint by importing products in the name of customers or borrowing the name of any of the companies to import. The duration of filing is within 1 day. Paying tax before 13:30 hrs. of local time, you can depart on that day.
  2. For the product that needs an import license first, now you can file an application online at that checkpoint, with duration depending on type of product, by importing the product in the name of customers or borrowing the name of any of the companies to import. Duration is ranged from 1 day to 2 weeks. Normally, for the products that need the import license, you will need to file the application in advance. The main supporting documents are import company documents, invoice and packing list, product photos and product information
  3. For the products or customers with privillege under the conditions of MIC of Myanmar, this type of company has a proposal and masters list. These documents must be filed to apply for exemption from import tax and VAT first. The duration depends on product value. If it is less than USD 100,000, consideration may be made in Yangon for up to 2 weeks depending on the signatory. But if it exceeds the said value, this application will be sent to Naypyidaw, taking more than 2 weeks. After receiving the approval document, classify if the products are a non-license or license one, and then proceed according to clause 1.1 and 1.2 without tax payment.Application for a license (if the customer uses our service) is divided into 4 types.
  4. Submission of forms for approval at that checkpoint takes 1 day, but the forms must come with the product transport vehicle from the origin as it will be recorded at the arrival immediately.

 

Transportation
The duration of transportation from Bangkok to Yangon.

  1. Day 1: Load the cargo (depending on loading speed of the customer), for example, finishing loading before 15.00 – 18.00 hrs., the cargo will arrive at the checkpoint at 04.00 – 06.00 hrs. of the next day. If loading is finishedd after 19.00 hrs., the cargo will arrive at the checkpoint at 11:00 – 14:00 hrs., etc.
  2. Day 2: Proceed on export clearance at Mae Sot (Thailand) checkpoint and import clearance at Myawaddy (Myanmar) checkpoint. Unload the cargo at the warehouse or transfer the cargo container to the vehicle at the Myanmar side (if the documents are ready in accordance with item 1.2. and 1.3. and the cargo cross the border before 12:00 hrs.). Then the cargo can be moved at that moment. Or the cargo crosses the border before 12.00 hrs., proceed according to item 1.1. and then the cargo can be moved at that time as well, and the cargo will reach the customer on Day 3 (but 80 percent of the cago cannot cross the border on time as mentioned due to traffic congestion).
  3. Day 3: If the cargo arrives late, we will proceed according to item 1.1. – 1.4. on this day and check for cargo release on this day.
  4. Day 4: the cargo is delivered to the customer.
